Buying lampwork and distinctive jewelry like mine is like buying art in any medium ... if you appreciate the art for art's sake, then price is not the all important consideration that it is when considering the purchase of mass-produced decorative items. The patience and time it takes to learn how to work the glass and flame together to create this magic is not expressible in terms of hours, days, months or even years. I learned watercolor painting before I ever picked up a torch, and it influences my art. I played classical violin for over 20 years, and it influences my art. I wake up in the morning envisioning some emotion or color or sense I want put into a bead ... that can't be contained inside a "years of study" statement.

With all this being said, I try not to belabor pricing each bead or piece too much and for the most part, within reason, I can negotiate prices. I generally roughly categorize the pieces into small, medium, large and fancy. Then, within the categories, I may adjust for complexity, materials used or number of wires. Feel free to contact me if you see something you love, but need to work out a price break or offer a trade.
